Who we are
EngineCheck is operated by Yuriy Romanyuk, an independent operator based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Contact: hello@enginecheckai.com.
What we collect
When you use EngineCheck we collect: (a) the engine video you upload, (b) the vehicle details you provide (make, model, year, mileage, engine state, optional warning lights and asking price), (c) the email address you provide for report delivery, and (d) payment information processed by Stripe (we never see or store your full card number).
How we use it
We use your video and vehicle details to generate the engine analysis report. We use your email to deliver the report and reply to support inquiries you initiate. We use payment information solely to process your one-time charge.
Service providers
We rely on the following processors. Each is bound by their own privacy policies, which you can review on their websites: Supabase (storage of video files and report records), Google Gemini API (AI analysis of your video), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (web hosting).
Data retention
Engine videos are retained for up to 30 days from upload, after which they are deleted automatically. Report records (analysis output, email, vehicle details) are retained indefinitely to allow you to receive refunds or resends. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@enginecheckai.com.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@enginecheckai.com. We will respond within 30 days. Residents of jurisdictions that grant additional rights (such as the EU GDPR or California CCPA) may exercise those rights at the same address.
Cookies and analytics
EngineCheck currently does not set marketing cookies. We may add basic analytics (e.g. Vercel Analytics or PostHog) to measure traffic. Any future tracking will be disclosed here.
Children
EngineCheck is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.
